THIS EDITION'S PARTICIPATING CHOIRS
Coral Montserrat del Casal dels Països Catalans de La Plata (Argentina)

Coro Montserrat is an artistic association belonging to the “Casal dels Països Catalans” in La Plata, a cultural and social centre. In 1997, a group of Casal members, united by a shared passion for Catalan music, came together to establish the institution’s first vocal ensemble, with the aim of promoting and disseminating it. Over the years, the group grew and eventually became the “Agrupación Coral Montserrat”. From 2007 to 2019, it was conducted by choral director Bernardo Latini, and following the pandemic, the project came under the leadership of its current director, conductor María de los Ángeles Stacchiotti. Throughout its history, the choir has taken part in numerous concerts and large-scale productions, such as the symphonic-choral performance Carmina Burana (2024), as well as concert series and choral gatherings in La Plata, among others. In August 2025, the choir was awarded the “Maestro Oriente Monreal” distinction in recognition of 28 years of uninterrupted activity.
Coral Cantana (Granada)

Coro Cantana is an association founded in March 2023 by Professor Carlos Malavé Marín and members of the “Asociación Cultural Cantana”. It was established with the aim of creating a leading hub for choral training and cultural outreach through choral music in the present day. Despite its short history, the choir has already shared the stage with other musical ensembles as part of the annual “Villa de Alhendín” Polyphonic Choral Music Festival, held in its hometown, as well as in the traditional Christmas concert “Al son de la Navidad”.
Choir Plus (Madrid)

Choir Plus is an inclusive lower-voice choir within the LGTBIQA+ community that uses choral music to foster respect for diversity in an environment that supports both the personal growth of its members and a strong commitment to teamwork, grounded in a shared passion for music. Choir Plus celebrates diversity and inclusion, bringing together people of all sexual orientations and gender identities in a safe and welcoming environment. Its repertoire focuses on pop music and features arrangements specifically written for the ensemble by Kodiak Agüero. Since its inception in 2020, the choir has performed in numerous concerts in Madrid and other Spanish cities. It has taken part in the Palma LGTBI International Choral Festival (Palma de Mallorca, 2021), Various Voices (Bologna, 2023), and Happy Chosen Family (Munich, 2024).
Swing Art Children’s Choir (China)

Swing Art Children’s Choir is an international youth choir based in Shanghai. For many years, it has been actively engaged in a wide range of social initiatives, including performances in charitable causes. In 2024, the choir performed at Norway’s National Day celebrations and in a concert alongside the Saint-Marc Children’s Choir, marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France. It was also awarded First Prize in the Children’s Choir category at the Vienna International Youth Music Festival. In 2025, the choir appeared at the Shanghai International Light Festival and participated in Norway’s BlimE Day, which was featured on NRK television. In the same year, it received the Gold Medal in the Children’s Choir category at the Sydney International Art Festival. Swing Art remains committed to an educational philosophy centred on musical literacy and the holistic development of young singers. Dedicated to youth choral singing, the choir builds on a solid pedagogical framework and engages with diverse international performance platforms. Its mission is to create a bridge to the global stage for every child who loves to sing, nurturing their passion and enabling them to share hope and emotion through their clear and resonant voices.
Cor Jove de Sentmenat (Catalonia)

Cor de Sentmenat is a choral ensemble with over 20 years of history, affiliated with the centenary association “El Coro”. Its members are primarily from Sentmenat, as well as from nearby towns such as Barcelona, Sabadell, and Cerdanyola del Vallès. Its work focuses on stage productions and concerts across a wide range of musical styles and genres, as well as on joint projects with other choirs, artists, associations, and organisations engaged in charitable causes. Word, movement, theatre, and dance are an integral part of its artistic identity, and the ensemble advocates messages of peace and solidarity that invite reflection among audiences. It also incorporates humour and satirical elements into its repertoire and has explored genres such as musical theatre, swing, and disco. The choir is a creative community sustained by the voluntary commitment of its members. The conductors are Toni Santiago and Luc-Olivier Sánchez, who also serves as répétiteur. The choir has collaborated with numerous artists and taken part in fundraising concerts with organisations such as “La Marató de TV3” and “Open Arms”. It has visited several European countries with the aim of expanding its artistic activity through international collaboration.
Bi Hotsak Koru Elkartea (Basque Country)

Bi Hotsak is a mixed amateur choral association founded in 2018 on the initiative of its current director, Beatriz Zurimendi. It currently comprises 49 singers aged between 14 and 67, who share a passion for choral singing and perform repertoire spanning a wide range of styles, with a particular focus on pop and rock music. Their programmes explore diverse themes such as Halloween (Arimen Gaua), Christmas carols, Basque folklore, and works by female composers. Each year, they present a multidisciplinary performance. Bi Hotsak has taken part in various events, including “Voces en el Pórtico” and the “Programa Vital por Álava”, as well as the “XXXII Certamen Nacional de Villancicos”, where they received the second prize in 2022 for their performances of arrangements of traditional Christmas carols.
