ARSinNOVA Chamber Choir was founded in 2007 by Pere Lluís Biosca, who has been the conductor until November 2016. From this date on, Marc Diaz is the new conductor.
Awarded the 2013 with the XV Grand Premio Nacional de Canto Coral, ARSinNOVA has played a wide repertoire during his 10-year career, among which it is worth mentioning his collaboration with the Orquestra Barroca Catalana in the Dixit Dominus of G F. Händel in Céret (France) and in Barcelona at the Dixit Fest, and in the Messiah of G. F. Händel, in the monastery of Pedralbes, under the conduction of Paul Jorquera. He has also performed with the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès Carmina Burana of C. Orff at the Palau de la Música Catalana, excerpts from Messiah of G.F. Handel, under the conduction of R. Gimeno at the Sagrada Familia, the St. Matthew passion by J.S. Bach, under the conduction of Xavier Puig, in a tour during Easter 2016 all over Catalonia , and past April 2017 the Requiem in d minor by W.A. Mozart with the Arts Symphony Ensemble under the conduction of A. Santiago.
ARSin NOVA has also reopened and recorded the opera La Viola d’Or by E. Morera and text from A. Mestres, under the conduction of D. Martin Etxebarria, recording that was awarded with the prize “Enderrock” of the critic in 2016 to the best classical album of the year.
Among other recordings, it is worth mentioning the soundtrack for the show Coliseum – games of Rome, composed by M. Timón, the original soundtrack of the “Els pastorets de Calaf” of Mn. Valentí Miserachs with the Cobla Sant Jordi Ciutat de Barcelona and a collaboration with the quartet of Barcelona “ Manel” in the recording of their second álbum 10 milles per veure una bona armadura.
In 2015 the choir performed Dels ous ferrats a la cendra, ampurdanesa Cantata for chorus and orchestra by J. Molina.
ARSinNOVA has been awarded with the first prize at the 6th International Choir Festival of Malgrat de Mar (2011) in the category of mixed choir, and the first prize at the XLII Festival Coral de Ejea de los Caballeros (2012) in the category of adults.
ARSinNOVA COR DE CAMBRA
ARSinNOVA Cor de Cambra va ser fundat l’any 2007 per Pere Lluís Biosca, que n’ha estat el director titular fins el novembre del 2016. Des de novembre del 2017, Marc Díaz n’és el director titular.
Guardonat el 2013 amb el XV Gran Premio de Nacional de Canto Coral, ARSinNOVA ha interpretat un repertori divers durant els seus 10 anys de trajectòria, entre el qual cal destacar la seva col·laboració amb l’Orquestra Barroca Catalana amb el Dixit Dominus de G.F. Händel a Ceret (França) i a Barcelona en el DixitFest i El Messies de G.F. Händel, sota la direcció de Pau Jorquera al Monestir de Pedralbes. Així mateix, ha interpretat amb l’Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès el Carmina Burana de C. Orff al Palau de la Música Catalana, fragments de El Messies de G.F.Händel, sota la direcció de R. Gimeno a la Sagrada Família, la Passió segons Sant Mateu de J.S. Bach, sota la direcció de Xavier Puig, en una gira durant la Setmana Santa 2016 arreu de Catalunya, i el passat abril del 2017 el Requiem en Re menor de W.A.Mozart amb l’Arts Symphony Ensemble sota la direcció d’A. Santiago.
També ha reestrenat i enregistrat l’òpera La Viola d'Or d'E. Morera i text d’A. Mestres, sota la direcció de D. Martín Etxebarria, gravació que va ser guardonada amb el Premi Enderrock 2016 de la crítica al millor disc de clàssica de l’any.
Entre d’altres enregistraments, cal mencionar la banda sonora per a l’espectacle Coliseum – Els Jocs de Roma, composada per M. Timón, la banda sonora original dels Pastorets de Calaf de Mn. Valentí Miserachs amb la Cobla Sant Jordi Ciutat de Barcelona i una col·laboració amb el el quartet barceloní Manel en l’enregistrament del seu segon disc 10 milles per veure una bona armadura.
El 2015 va estrenar Dels ous ferrats a la cendra, cantata empordanesa per a cor i cobla de J. Molina.
ARSinNOVA ha estat guardonat amb el primer premi del 6è Festival Internacional Coral de Malgrat de Mar (2011), en la categoria de cor mixt, i el primer premi al XLII Certamen Coral de Ejea de los Caballeros (2012), en la categoria d'adults.
