62nd INTERNATIONAL CHORAL MUSIC FESTIVAL

Barcelona, from 5th to 11th July 2027

We are pleased to announce that APPLICATIONS are OPEN for the 62nd International Choral Festival of Barcelona!

 

Six days of workshops and concerts in the heart of Barcelona, bringing together music and cultures from around the world.

Free time in the morning
This will allow you to discover the wide range of activities Barcelona has to offer: enjoy more than 3 km of beaches, wander through the lively Ramblas, or discover the Gothic Quarter, Gaudí's masterpieces, and many other monuments and museums.

Workshops in the afternoon
Around 400 participants, both from Catalonia and from abroad, are expected to take part in the event. 

All participating choirs will give two performances in Barcelona and its surroundings, as well as take part in the closing concert, where all participants will perform the repertoire studied during the workshops.

The closing concert will take place at Palau de la Música Catalana.

WORKSHOPS

ENROLMENT

ENROLMENT WITH ACCOMODATION FOR THE WHOLE WEEK
Enrolment fee: €455 / person

Includes:
 

  • Accommodation (for one week): different kind of rooms upon availability (limited rooms). 

  • Meals: breakfast and lunch every day, as well as picnic dinner on performance days.

  • Participation in one workshop, with all music scores provided. Closing concert in the Palau de la Música.

  • Two concerts: a 30-minute concert in Santa Maria del Pi Church and a 60-minute concert in some venue in Barcelona surroundings.

  • Possibility of a 10-minute concert in the Sagrada Família Basilica and Montserrat Abbey (price not included in the fee).

    All choirs are requested to state 2 workshop preferences, so that we can achieve the best possible grouping for the workshops. We will try to meet your first preference if that is possible.

ENROLMENT WITHOUT ACCOMMODATION
Enrolment fee: €150 / person

ENROLMENT FOR HALF WEEK

​

There is also the option of joining the Festival for half of the week and giving a concert as part of the Festival programme.

The acceptance of your application will be communicated to you by  the end of November 2026 (Participation can be confirmed earlier if necessary).
 
 
Payment of the registration fee:
Once the choir has been accepted, we will send you all the instructions.
 

  • 1st payment (40%) by the end of January 2027

  • 2nd payment (60%) by the end of April 2027

 

 

Cancellation policy:

- In case of cancellation before the 1st May of 2027, the 100% of the payment will be refunded.

- In case of cancellation after the 1st May of 2027, only a 50% of the payment will be refunded.

- In case of cancellation after 31st May of 2027, none of the payment will be refunded.
